Specialist Support for North London Residents
Strong Core
The ability of the Reformer machine to target the mid-section is unparalleled, allowing you to get strong abdominals, protect your lower back and get a thin waistline.
Flexibility & Strength
It is no secrete that both flexibility and strength are needed for a health body. Both aspects are addressed with the reformer exercises helping you even out imbalances, improve posture and reduce the risk of injuries.
Low impact
There are times that we need to be careful with our joints and not overload them. In cases like: arthritis, pregnancy or when injured reformer pilates allows you to train while keeping your joints safe.
Lower Back Pain
LBP is very common among big parts of the population. The ones we have seen suffering the most are individuals with a sedentary lifestyle (especially if they exercise <x3 per week), and women around pregnancy and menopause.
We find that Reformer Pilates for Lower Back Pain can do wonders especially when combined with some craniosacral therapy and some basic resistance training.
Pregnancy
Many new mothers take up Reformer Pilates as it is one of the safest most efficient ways to train during this period.
Reformer Pilates for pregnancy sessions are tailored to the individual’s needs, depending on the trimester, energy levels and prior fitness levels.
Arthritis
Both men and women after 40s are likely to develop sensitivities in the joints, which they can be further aggravated lated in life due to neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease.
Having offered Reformer Pilates for arthritis to a number of clients, we understand that the level of joint inflammation and age of the individual is key in determining the optimal protocol.
